From the Mouth of Little Sprout #1 - 002

This is about 90% of the time the first words out of G's mouth first thing in the morning.

"Mommy! B up! Me Daddy's oomeal, my apple key, and Com!"

(Translation: Mommy! B is awake! I want Cheerios, a Sippy Cup of Apple Juice and Backkom on YouTube!")

This little boy just loves routine!

If you've never watched Backkom/Bernard Bear on YouTube, you really should! G and his Daddy love to laugh and laugh at that crazy bear!

A Block Building Kind of Day!

This morning we woke up to some dismal weather and Mommy decided to pull out the blocks!
Our Little Sprouts and their Mommy spent all day with the blocks! They were a BIG hit today!
Before getting dressed for the day G was already building towers...

...and B was busy taste testing the the blocks...YUMMY!

Mommy used the blocks to spell and G decided his lady needed steps!

Once B was down for his morning nap, G asked Mommy "Me help make brownies Mommy!"
He is turning out to be a really big help and insisted on putting all the scoops of ingredients into the mixing bowl and running the mixer.
(OH - and not to forget the taste testing!)

More block creations.
We are actually pretty amazed at his hand eye coordination.
We joke he should be a surgeon.

Building "wow-we" towers with Daddy almost as tall as G!

Here is Daddy's art work on "Daddy's Owie!"

We enjoyed time outside cleaning the truck and walked to the mail.  We couldn't let such a beautiful fall day pass without some time enjoying the fresh, crisp fall air.
Unfortunately B and me have a case of the sniffles *sniff* *sniff*!

Hello Gramps & Nana

The boys are missing their talks with Nana, sharing kisses over the phone (although Mommy's phone is glad that it is getting a break from slobbery kisses) and showing Nana what they are playing with :)!

From the Mouth of Little Sprout #1 -001

Yups ... Nopes ... No Ways ... Yes Ways

What's with the "s" we are still trying to figure out!

We LOVE these Little Sprouts!
B's favourite food is Greek Yogurt.  Key Lime Greek Yogurt to be exact.
He was a Daddy's boy today!  We are trying to get him to start taking a bottle, so that is what we have been working on this weekend, so far he is taking in half the time...

When I'm working in the kitchen, it is definitely become G's favourite place to be too!  He uses dinning room chairs, his IKEA stool to be at counter height/climb onto the counter.  Once he is on the counter, he likes to open the cupboards and pick out his snack.
Today we made apple crumble and some fresh, hot, apple sauce.  G was very eager to "I help Mommy" and turned all the apples through the spinner and into yummy applesauce...but wouldn't eat any!!

The Falls

We decided to spend Saturday visiting some of Daddy's siblings and taking the boys to the Falls.
This was G's first reactions - he was loving it!

B was enjoying people watching and thought he could grab the "Maid of the Mist"!

Daddy and G

Both of the boys were fascinated with the rushing water and the boat!
We were getting a little (okay more than a little) wet from the mist, but neither boy seemed to mind, there was to much to see!  We brought the stroller, but neither boy stayed in it very long!

G and Daddy

Okay - so this photo was edited :) but I was loving how my camera was capturing the rainbow!

This photo wasn't edited at all!  The seagull was about 3 feet away from us!  I love it - but I'm not about to frame a seagull!

G enjoyed first observing and then playing with his cousins.  B loved the "new" smiling faces, hair for him to pull and faces to give slobbery kisses to!

Daddy's Home, Pie and Kedar's Bath

Daddy's been working at the school helping out - meaning that he hasn't been home much for dinner and bedtime stories in the past week and unfortunately he's only half done *sniff* *sniff*.  So we are thrilled that we had Daddy home all day - all to ourselves! The boys loved being about there Daddy helping and being held!
G helping Daddy clean up the wood on the driveway.

B happy because he is with DADDY!!

Okay - in all honesty - I can't, just can't, make an apple pie.  After being at tired of cranky boys (yes, we aren't perfect and definitely have those days!) I needed to put my mind on something else. I had a bag of apples, Pinterest and time.  So, I found an amazing and easy looking recipe and tried my hands at making an apple pie again...and I think I succeeded!  We served it to Joel's parents today at coffee time (I was nervous) but I think it passed!
I was so excited, I even called my sister to inform her that I made an apple pie from scratch!  She asked ... "the crust too?" - definitely shows the faith she has in me! She is an amazing pie maker!

While playing outside today, G decided to give Kedar a drink of rainwater that was sitting in the back of a Little Tykes Coupe.  While add that yuckiness to an already dirty stuffed animal who has been dragged everywhere, he was in need of a bath!  His white fur was more of a light brown.

After seeing Kedar in the washing machine, he was upset and wanted "Kedar OUT!".  Once the washing machine finished he could not wait to give Kedar a really big HUG! He then was upset again because "Kedar WET Mama!"
So, into the dryer Kedar went.  He was only willing to let go of Kedar as long as he could "Watch Kedar".

After 3 minutes, Kedar was dry and once again pulled around everywhere with a very happy boy!

We are really enjoying having Daddy home!

Kedar and G sitting in "Daddy's chair - nopes my chair!" watching Pingu!

This boy is growing up way to fast.  In the past month it seems that he has grown like crazy! Not necessarily in height and weight, but rather in personality and talking!
He is able to say what he means (Mommy is very happy about this) and loves to babble on all day long.
"Kedar" is currently his BEST FRIEND.  Kedar has to do everything that G does.
He makes my heart smile everyday!

Mr. Bennett at 9 Months

9 months ALREADY - and what a crazy nine months that has been!

B is a GREAT and EASY baby.  For that we both are extremely thankful!
He loves to smile, watch his big brother, play contently on the floor with toys and be held by his Daddy!

He has only TWO pearly whites.
He has gorgeous perfectly blue eyes.
Extremely long eye lashes.
Is wearing 18 month clothing - say WHAT he was a PREEMIE?
Has had 3 hair cuts and a crazy front hair line.
Weighs 22.1 lbs and is the 92nd percentile for weight.
Is 28 inches long.
Is wearing size 4 diapers.
Is NOT sleeping through the night!

Is LOVED...Forever and Always!

A New Fresh Start at 365

After such a long break from our previous blog, I have decided to start a new blog and have a goal of 365 posts in 365 days.  I have finally realized that unless I blog, I don't take pictures.  I NEED to take pictures.  Each night Joel and I say to eachother how fast our Little Sprouts are growing up.  So, here is to a fresh start at 365 and everything else that I feel like shouting out to the world about!
I hope you come along for the journey and help me achieve 365!
